July 14 - July 19
SOLD OUT: Please contact us if you would like to be added to our
We’re excited to announce THROGA’s return trip to the Studio at the Palms, an 8,000-square-foot multi-million dollar recording studio where artists like Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Beyoncé, Imagine Dragons and Celine Dion go to record. This four-day, five-night, singing retreat is a one-of-a-kind experience, designed to help young Singers (ages 13-20) discover new depths of their voice in a positive and supportive environment.
Throughout the retreat, Singers will have the opportunity to work directly with our 2018 Retreat Mentors (listed below) as they record a fully produced acoustic song and prepare to perform for industry professionals. Singers of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and genres of music (such as pop, country, rock, Broadway, opera and r&b) are welcome to participate and challenge themselves in this unique singing experience.
The Studio at the Palms is in a secluded space, away from the casino floor and off the strip, making it a safe and family friendly atmosphere. Singers can have up to two Guests (non-participants) at a time in the studio to share the adventure with and get a ‘front row seat’ to each Singer’s transformation and achievements.
Classes and Activities
Although the focus is to record and perform a song (cover or original) with award-winning music and vocal-producers, there are several classes and activities to participate in throughout the retreat. All of which, will teach how to apply THROGA’s techniques to enhance Singer’s immediate vocal performance and long-term development.
To help Singers make the best song selection for their vocal strengths and personality, we offer a free online review service for each of the participants in advance to make sure it will work well in an acoustic setting. For the group songs, each Singer will be able to chose from two styles of performance; a Broadway number (focused on stage acting and performance while singing) or a contemporary song (designed to highlight individual vocal styles and harmonies).
On the final day of activities (July 18th), Singers will perform their solos and group songs in a private showcase, where singers will receive direct feedback and guidance for industry professionals. An after party will take place immediately after the showcase to celebrate your experience with new friends.

During your stay, there will be plenty of downtime in the evenings and in between retreat activities to explore the Palms Casino Resort, take in the sights and enjoy Las Vegas. The Palms itself is a newly renovated (2017-18) boutique property, covering nearly 30 acres, just one mile from the Las Vegas Strip. The resort features three soaring towers, extravagant pools, a cutting-edge concert theater, fitness and cardio center, a 14-theater Cineplex, luxurious spa and salon, and over 20 restaurants to choose from. For those who are old enough, the Palms also boasts a 95,000 sq ft casino floor featuring the latest slot machines and classic table games with several bar scenes.
In the evenings, you can take the free shuttle to the underground Forum Shops at Cesar’s Palace and explore the strip. In previous retreats, some families chose to stay in Las Vegas for longer periods of time to explore other themed Resorts and see the Red Rock Canyon, the Hoover Dam and other sites. When we get closer to the event dates, we will organize some (optional) group “night-outs” for all of the singers and guests who wish to participate.
Accommodations are NOT INCLUDED in the retreat cost. To take advantage of the retreat’s “group rate”, you can add a Superior Guestroom, located inside the Palms Casino Resort’s Fantasy Tower, for an additional cost (next page). The Superior Guestrooms are in the same tower as the Studio and comes with several features, including a 30” LCD TV, Serta Platinum King or 2-Queen beds, a private jetted bath and free in-room WiFi. You will also receive free parking, and access to the pools and fitness center. Special requests are subject to availability upon check-in and may incur additional charges.
You are welcome to stay anywhere you like while in Las Vegas. Please feel free to explore third party sites (such as Expedia) for a more competitive price or stay at another nearby hotel or resort altogether. However, we recommend staying at one of the three conveniently located towers at the Palms: Fantasy Tower (same tower as studio), Ivory Tower (2 minute walk through casino floor) or Palms Place Tower (10 minute walk from the other side of the resort).
The Palms resort address is 4321 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV, 89103. Hotel check-in is 3:00PM on July 14th and check-out is 10:00AM July 19th. Visit palms.com to learn more about the accommodations, rules and regulations.
