Stay at an official Walt Disney World® Hotel at Disney Springs® from July 7-12, where your child will have an unforgettable educational experience learning how to improve their singing and performing skills with Certified Throga Instructors and industry professionals. This retreat is for ages 10-20 (split into age groups) and includes vocal training, group activities, recording “live” in a high-end professional studio, performance rehearsals and private showcase for family and industry professionals. We welcome singers of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and genres of music (such as pop, country, rock, Broadway, opera, and r&b) to participate and challenge themselves in this unique singing experience, while discovering Throga’s scientific based technique, known as the 7 Dimensions of Singing.
Throga Retreat: Discover Your Voice
July 7 - July 12
Classes and Activities
There are four full-days of classes and retreat activities from July 8-11. Three days will take place in the event rooms of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista’s Conference Center, plus a full day of recording “live” solos and rehearsing in one of Orlando’s most famous recording studios, Starke Lake Studios. To help Singers choose the best song (original or cover) to sing for their solo, we offer a free online review service in advance to make sure it will highlight their vocal strengths and personality in an acoustic setting (piano or guitar). This retreat also features songwriting sessions, where participants will be able to co-write and perform an original group song. On the final day of activities, Singers will perform their solos and group song in a private showcase, where they will receive direct feedback and guidance from industry professionals. After which, we will celebrate the retreat experience with new friends, photos and cake!
* Please note that none of the professionally recorded audio/video footage featuring your child’s voice or likeness will be shared or made available to the public without your express permission.

Transportation: Flights and all related costs of transportation to and from the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Hotel for retreat activities (including parking) are NOT included in the Registration Fee. On our recording day, we will provide transportation for Singers plus ONE Guardian/Guest each to and from Starke Lake Studios in beautiful Mercedes Benz Sprinter Limousines with ice/water in the bar (additional family members 18 and over are welcome to meet us at the studio on their own if they wish to do so). For those staying at the Wyndham Hotel, transportation is provided to all four Disney parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Holywood Studios and Animal Kingdom) as well as both Disney water parks (Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach).
Food and Beverages: Water will be provided at all times throughout the retreat classes and activities. Lunch is provided at Starke Lake Studios, on July 10th, only. At the Wyndham hotel, there is a small convenience stand, coffee shop, and pool bar on the premises. During lunch breaks, there will be enough time for everyone to walk across the street to Disney Springs and enjoy a meal at a favorite location (NOT included). For the Afterparty on July 11th, a variety of beverages, vegetable platters and “Throga cake” will be served directly after the Retreat Showcase.
From the time you arrive to the day you return home, Disney Springs will only be steps away from your hotel. This sprawling promenade features charming Florida inspired waterfront towns, historic architecture and natural beauty with 192 establishments in retail, dining and entertainment. You will have plenty to do and things to see in between retreat activities without having to drive anywhere. A few highlights include the DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, Rainforest Cafe, Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop, Disney Springs Marketplace, Harley-Davidson, House of Blues, AMC Movies 24, STARBUCKS, Star Wars Galactic Outpost, The Spice & Tea Exchange, The LEGO Store, T-REX Cafe, The Boathouse, Planet Hollywood and an all new Cirque du Soleil. In the evenings, you can also visit any of Orlando’s popular theme parks, including Disney, Universal and SeaWorld.
The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is not only an Official Walt Disney World Hotel, it’s the closest hotel to the Disney Springs Resort area. In order to accommodate those who already have preferred Orlando vacation spots or live in the area, the hotel is NOT INCLUDED in the Retreat Registration price (next page). However, there are several advantages to staying at the Wyndham, including free transportation to all of the Disney Theme Parks and having the convenience of being on the same grounds as retreat classes and activities.
